What to Know About the Miami Grand Prix 2026

Miami Autodrome guide

The long-straight show is interrupted by a deliberately awkward climb

The 5.412-kilometre temporary circuit runs around Hard Rock Stadium with three long straights, but Turns 13 to 16 change the rhythm completely. Cars rise over uneven ground into the crest at the Turn 14-15 chicane, then drop on exit before accelerating toward the Turn 17 braking zone.

  • Turns 1, 11 and 17 are the clearest braking battles for position.
  • A mistake through the uphill chicane costs more than corner time because it weakens the following acceleration.
A different 2026 Sprint test

Ninety minutes of FP1 still had to settle the whole weekend

Miami extended its only practice to 90 minutes in 2026, giving teams more running than a normal Sprint FP1 but no second chance before Sprint Qualifying. Long-run tyre data, cooling choices and ride control over the technical section therefore had to share the same crowded session.

  • Check the current timetable close to the start: the 2026 race was moved three hours earlier because of storm risk.
  • A hot track can stress rear tyres in traction zones even when the long straights give them time to cool.
Hard Rock Stadium campus

Navigate Miami by ticket zone, not by the nearest landmark

The course wraps through the Hard Rock Stadium complex in Miami Gardens, where bridges, controlled routes and grandstand zones determine how fans move. Check the entrance shown with your ticket before setting out and use the latest campus information when weather forces a session update.

  • Hydration and shade are part of the race plan during the hottest hours, even when rain is forecast later.
  • Choose Turns 1, 11 or 17 for braking action; choose the technical section to see drivers fight placement and traction.
