Monaco Grand Prix 2026 Schedule, Times & Results

Monaco compresses 78 laps into just 260.286 kilometres, but nothing about the 3.337-kilometre street circuit feels small from the cockpit. Check every session in your timezone, then follow the weekend through the two things fans can read most clearly: millimetre-perfect qualifying laps and the fight to preserve track position on Sunday.

What to Know About the Monaco Grand Prix 2026

Monaco corner sequence

Nineteen corners with no space to reset after a mistake

The lap climbs from Sainte Dévote to Casino Square, folds through the Grand Hotel Hairpin, accelerates into the tunnel and returns to the harbour through the Nouvelle Chicane and Swimming Pool. Barriers define every line, so a lock-up that would merely spoil a lap elsewhere can stop the session here.

  • Tunnel exit into the Nouvelle Chicane is the clearest conventional passing attempt.
  • The Swimming Pool section rewards commitment, but its direction changes leave almost no usable escape route.
Why Saturday leads the story

A clear qualifying lap can be worth more than race-day pace

Passing a similarly quick car is exceptionally difficult, which makes tyre preparation, traffic gaps and confidence in qualifying decisive. During the race, an undercut, overcut or neutralisation can create the position that raw speed cannot, so the timing gaps around the pit window deserve as much attention as the lead car.

  • A driver needs room before starting a qualifying lap; catching traffic can erase an otherwise perfect sector.
  • Teams may delay a stop to protect clean air, even when the tyre itself is ready to be changed.
Monaco ticket and access check

Know whether your ticket lives in the app or in your hand

The 2026 Monaco Grand Prix app combined e-tickets, the schedule, live updates and an interactive map for gates and grandstands. Physical tickets were different: the organiser said they could not be added to the app, so those fans still needed the original ticket at the entrance.

  • Street closures make normal walking routes unreliable; follow the event map for the gate assigned to your grandstand.
  • Grandstands L to P show the Swimming Pool commitment, while Grandstand B looks across Casino Square.
