The familiar Montmeló circuit carried a new Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix name in 2026, separating it from Madrid's Spanish Grand Prix. Use the schedule for every session, then read the 4.657-kilometre lap through its core compromise: protect speed through Turn 3 without surrendering the braking fight into Turn 1.

Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya combines high- and low-speed corners over a 66-lap race, which is why teams have long used it to expose a car's weaknesses. The sustained Turn 3 right-hander reveals front-end balance, while the main straight and heavy Turn 1 braking zone create the clearest attack.
The circuit asks for stability in long loaded corners and traction through slower sections, so teams cannot optimise one headline feature. Fans should compare long-run consistency and final-sector pace: growing understeer through the lap is a clue that the front tyres are paying for earlier speed.
The 2026 mobility plan increased R2 Nord and R11 train service and added free buses from Montmeló station and Parets to circuit gates. Private cars needed parking purchased in advance, so following ordinary GPS directions without the event access plan could lead to a blocked approach.
