Monza's speed is easy to see; the difficult part is stopping a low-downforce car accurately after the tow. Follow every September 4-6 session, then compare speed traps, qualifying traffic and braking confidence at Rettifilo, Roggia and Ascari.

Formula 1 describes the 5.793-kilometre lap as roughly 80% full throttle, including the 1.1-kilometre main straight. The speed ends abruptly at Rettifilo, then returns before Roggia. A clean run through the Lesmos and Ascari protects momentum into Parabolica and the next lap.
A slipstream reduces lap time on Monza's straights, so drivers want another car ahead—but not so close that dirty air or traffic ruins the chicane. The same low-wing choice that raises top speed also lengthens braking and reduces corner grip, creating a visible trade-off between speed traps and sector time.
Autodromo Nazionale Monza sits inside a vast park, not beside a single transit concourse. Event mobility plans can combine trains, shuttles and long pedestrian routes to different gates. After the finish, the track invasion and podium atmosphere draw a second wave of movement toward the main straight.

The race is scheduled for 53 laps of Monza's 5.793-kilometre circuit, for an official race distance of 306.72 kilometres.
Monza has very long full-throttle sections, so following another car can reduce aerodynamic drag and add straight-line speed. The driver still needs enough space to prepare the tyres and take the chicanes cleanly.
The race weekend runs Sep 4–Sep 6, 2026. The Grand Prix is scheduled for Sun, Sep 6 · 3:00 PM CEST.
